Ghoul
Description
Ghouls are more intelligent than their Zombie or Skeleton counterparts.
This is not to say that they are intelligent creatures, but merely just not entirely mindless.
Ghouls appear to be dead humanoids, but not the rotting corpses that are Zombies.
They appear very pale and disfigured and seem to be a less intelligent form of Wight.
Their main objective seems to be to consume the human flesh they crave and little more and are often just used as arrow fodder by Necromancers.
This desire for human flesh has left them with a pattern corrupting touch, that allows them to Paralyise by touch alone.
Strengths
- Ghouls can paralyise by touch.
- Ghouls are attuned to detecting life, so hiding from them can be difficult.
- Ghouls do not feel pain so it can take a great deal of damage to dispose of them.
- Being undead they are not usually affected by any mind affecting spells and effects.
Weaknesses
- Ghouls are fairly easily dismissed however. A couple of strong incantors or a small wedge of weaker incantors can dismiss a ghoul.
- Ghouls are affected by any weapon and usually carry no weapon of their own to parry with.
