The Forms of Magic

Listed below are the spells available to mages, incantors and healers. These include the vocals which should be used to cast the spell, the actions spellcasters and channellers should perform while casting the spell, the maximum range over which the spell can be cast, the effects of each spell and what reaction if any the target of the spell should role-play.

All spells have a vocal and action component. The vocal components of a spell must be in English and must be as similar as possible to those printed for each spell. The only exceptions are spells or channelling effects that must be cast over a period of time (for example ten seconds). The vocal component of these spells and effects may be anything the cast wishes, but must end with the vocal stated. All magic and channelling requires that nothing be held in the casting hand. This hand is used to tear the power card and if required, to point at or touch the target. The action component is performed during the casting of the spell, and is the representation of the gestures required to cast the spell. Therefore if your casting hand is unusable, you may not cast spells. Unless otherwise specified the spell will take effect when the vocal has been completed.
