These skills allow your character to gain extra income and represent your character's profession. They may also provide small in character benefits whilst role-playing. For example, a character who was a skilled carpenter would be able to quickly and efficiently repair a damaged faction gate. You may choose any job title for your income skill, provided that the name you pick is in keeping with the fantasy nature of Lorien Role-Playing system. You should also bear in mind that the Lorien Trust events are open to players of all ages; please do not request potentially obscene or offensive job titles.
| Skill Level | Cost | Benefits |
| Apprentice | 20 OSP's | 2 quarters |
| Journeyman | 40 OSP's | 6 quarters |
| Master | 60 OSP's | 14 quarters |
Income skills can be learnt as follows:
One skill up to master level or
Two skills up to Journeyman level or
Up to five skills at apprentice level (jack of all trades).
To buy a journeyman level skill, you must have already purchased an apprentice level income skill for the same job title. To buy a master level skill, you must have already purchased an apprentice and a journeyman level income skill for the same job title. You may purchase two or three levels of an income skill at one time, provided that you have the required amount of OSP's to do so. Income skills are subject to the same 'training period' as all other occupation skills and your character will receive no extra income until the skill(s) you have purchased are shown on your character card. Once your skills are on your character card, you may collect your extra income from Games Control.
