Group Rank
Group ranks are issued to the leader of each group, rather than to a faction leader.
They work in the same way as faction command ranks.
The exact amount of rank cards that each group receives depends on the number of players who have pre-booked for the Gathering as members of each group (gate bookings will not count towards this figure).
These cards will be issued to your group leader at the beginning of the Gathering by your faction command, together with any loyalty rank income.
Group rank cards will be valid until the start of the next year's Gathering.
| Rank | Number of pre-booked players |
| 2 | 3 |
| 3 | 7 |
| 4 | 15 |
| 5 | 30 |
| 6 | 60 |
| 7 | 120 |
| 8 | 240 |
The table above shows the minimum pre-booked numbers necessary for a group to receive a card of a particular rank.
You can calculate the total number of ranks your group will receive using the method and example below.
- First, add up the total number of people in your group who have pre-booked for the Gathering.
- Use the table above to find the highest rank you should be entitled to.
- Divide your pre-booked group size by the figure in the 'number of pre-booked' players column opposite this rank (rounding down).
- Subtract the resulting figure from your pre-booked group size.
- Divide the pre-booked group size that this calculation gives you by the figure in the 'number of pre-booked players' column opposite the rank below the highest you were entitled to.
- Subtract the resulting figure from your new pre-booked group size.
- Continue this calculation for all the ranks below the highest you were entitled to
Example: A group has sixteen players pre-booked for the Gathering.
Using the table above they work out that the highest rank they are entitled to is rank 4.
They divide their group size by the figure opposite rank 4 (15) and get 1 (all numbers are rounded down).
They subtract 1 from their pre-booked group size, giving them 15.
They now have one rank 4 and a pre-booked group size of 15.
They move to the rank below the highest they were entitled to (rank 3) and divide their new pre-booked group size (15) by the figure opposite rank 3 (7), getting 2 as a result.
They subtract 2 from their new pre-booked size (15) and get 13. They repeat this calculation until they run of available ranks.
| Group size | Rank required | No. of cards | Group size remaining |
| 16 | Rank 4 | 16/15 = 1 | 16 - 1 = 15 |
| 15 | Rank 3 | 15/7 = 2 | 15 - 2 = 15 |
| 13 | Rank 2 | 13/3 = 4 | No lower ranks available |
